Percy Jackson never had thought of himself as special, besides that he can stay inside water a long time. He had never knew his father, and after his father had left, his mother married a jerk who doesnt really care for either of them. He also has a best friend called Grover. After defeating his teacher who had mysteriously turned into a monster, he was really confused as his best friend and teacher, knew what they were facing. As his friend Grover, drove him to his house and explained what was going on. He explained to him that he was half goat, and how he was his protector. He discoveres that he is a son of a greek god called Poseidon. From that point he is sent to camp half blood. Camp half blood is a place where all half bloods are put in. So Hades then takes his mother and tells him if he does not bring him the lightning bolt, (which everyone thought that he had stolen) he will kill him, and his mother. And if he doesnt bring the bolt to Zues, the war on Olympus will begin.
So him, Grover, and Annabeth go to the Underworld to save his mother. There is also a catch, they have to get 3 pearls from 3 different places, the first place they go is Medusas Lair, where they have to get past Medusa to get the pearl that is on her arm. The second place they have to go, is to a statue of Athena, where a 8 headed dragon guards the pearl. And the last place they have to go is to a casino, where evil waitresses try to taunt them to stay with lotus flowers to stay there forever. And as they get the third pearl, they go on of Hollywood, where the entrance to the underworld is. They meet the guy who takes them to the Underworld, but it cost them some coins that they got from Medusas lair. Now they go to save his mother, and go to the empire state building, where the secret entrance to Olympus is. They go to Olympus and bring Zues the bolt, and then the person who really stole the bolt was their good friend.
